Large back garden mostly laid to lawn. The house was being re built and so a border was needed to frame the lawn and give some privacy to the garden.
Photo was taken the day of completion and luckily the lawn recovered as it was planted in August 2019 on the hottest day of the year.
There was already a fence but added a Hornbeam hedge for interest. Apart from that and an potted Acer to be planted, there was little else.
Handily the customer owned a digger and so the border was dug over and 2 tonne of grit was added to break up the clay, mixed in well and then re dug. Plus 3 tonne of bark chippings as a mulch has kept the weeds well away.
The border has many bulbs planted throughout and was later edge with reclaimed brick.
