What are Plant Biostimulants?
A plant biostimulant contains substances and/or microorganisms that stimulate natural plants processes.
Having worked within a nursery growing crops as pesticide free as possible, we started to use a more holistic approach to treating pests and disease around the nursery. Working closely with our suppliers, we came up with a programme used to treat all crops throughout the year.
Using 3 different products that work together to either promote the plants self defence into thinking they've been attacked, coat the leaf surface to repel spores and microbes or contain essential nutrients. The results were amazing compared to previous years.
There are two forms of treatment- microbial and non-microbial. We use biostimulants that are either found with plants to help give them a well needed boost during times of stress. Invigorators are neither non-chemical and non-biological action and work by removing the problem off the plant and encouraging them to increase there self defence. Plus they are environmentally friendly and can be used on many flowers, fruit and veg. These are generally preventative and depending what option chosen, can be either 1 or multiple applications.
